A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a romantic and comedic Shakespeare that follows the tangled relationships of four young lovers, a group of amateur actors, and a world of mischievous fairies.

Hermia wants to marry Lysander, but her father insists she marry Demetrius, who is loved by Helena. The lovers escape into a forest, where the fairy king Oberon and his trickster servant Puck use magic to interfere, accidentally causing both men to fall for Helena.

Meanwhile, a group of craftsmen are rehearsing a play for the Duke’s wedding. Puck transforms one of them, Bottom, giving him a donkey’s head then, the fairy queen Titania, under a spell, falls in love with him.

After much confusion, all the spells are undone, true love is restored, and everyone returns to Athens. The lovers are married, the craftsmen perform their silly play, and the fairies celebrate order being restored.
