Our Classes
BALLET
ADULTS
Our adult ballet classes offer a fresh, modern approach to classical ballet, combining traditional technique with a fun, energising workout. Classes incorporate dynamic warm-ups, barre work and centre exercises to develop strength, flexibility, coordination and musicality. Whether you're learning the basics or refining years of training, ballet is a great way to challenge your body, focus your mind and enjoy the artistry of dance.
We offer several levels of adult ballet to suit different experience levels and goals.
BEGINNER BALLET
Our Beginner Ballet course is a structured six-week introduction to the foundations of classical ballet. Designed for adults who are new to dance or looking to return to the basics, each class builds your confidence and understanding of ballet technique in a supportive environment.
You'll explore posture, alignment, positions of the feet and arms, ballet terminology, simple barre sequences and introductory centre work, while developing coordination, musicality and artistry. Each week builds on the last, helping you feel more comfortable and confident as you progress.
No previous dance or ballet experience is necessary.
RAD BALLET
Our adult RAD Ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, combining structured technical training with the opportunity to refine your artistry, musicality and classical ballet technique. Classes build progressively throughout the year, helping you develop strength, precision, confidence and a deeper understanding of the syllabus.
We offer two levels: Intermediate Foundation on Wednesdays and Advanced Foundation on Thursdays.
Intermediate Foundation An excellent entry point for adults with some existing ballet knowledge, including those who have completed our Beginner Ballet course or are returning to ballet after a break. You'll continue developing your foundational technique while working towards the requirements of the RAD syllabus.
Advanced Foundation Designed for adults with established ballet experience who are ready to work at a more advanced technical level. This class is suited to regular ballet dancers, ex-dancers and those with previous RAD training who want to continue challenging themselves, strengthening their technique and progressing through the syllabus.
OPEN BALLET
Our signature Open Ballet class offers a fresh combination of classical technique, movement and musicality each week. Drawing on established ballet foundations, classes explore barre and centre work while developing coordination, control, strength and movement quality.
It's a great option for dancers who enjoy variety, want to maintain their technique or simply love the structure and artistry of a traditional ballet class without following a formal examination syllabus.
COMMERCIAL
ADULTS
Our adult Commercial classes are all about energy, musicality and feel-good choreography. Drawing inspiration from the movement styles seen in music videos, live performances and the commercial dance industry, classes combine dynamic movement, performance quality and current music into a fun, high-energy dance experience.
You'll warm up before learning a fresh combination each week, building your coordination, confidence, musicality and performance skills as you go. Expect bold movement, great music, a workout that gets you moving and a chance to switch off from everyday life.
Open Commercial is ideal for dancers with some previous dance experience who are ready to take on more challenging choreography, explore different movement styles and develop their performance quality. With fresh combinations each week, you'll have the opportunity to build on your existing skills, challenge yourself and enjoy dancing to great music.
Easier Commercial is perfect for beginners, those returning to dance or anyone wanting a little more guidance when learning choreography. Classes offer a more accessible introduction to commercial dance, helping you build coordination, musicality and confidence while learning fun combinations at your own pace. No previous dance experience is necessary.
Whether you're looking to challenge yourself or try dance for the first time, our Commercial classes are a great way to move your body, have fun and leave feeling good.
HEELS
ADULTS
Our adults heels classes are all about fun, feel-good moves, focused on moving your body to the music and challenging yourself through dance. A high energy work out, we start with a quick dynamic stretch or dance warm up, and then jump straight into our weekly combo, with fresh new choreography every week.
Move your body, get sweaty, feel good. Leave the outside world at the studio door when you arrive, and leave the routine at the studio door when you go.
We offer adults open dance classes in heels, this require some previous dance experience.
Beginner Heels is a structured 6 week course, focused on the foundational technique and basic building blocks of dancing in heels. Build confidence and develop your skills through learning the essentials of heels technique, including; posture, alignment, walking, weight placement, balance, musicality, and performance quality. Each class will build on the last, progressing from foundational exercises and technique into fun, confident choreography and combos. No prior heels or dance experience necessary. Those looking to build confidence, go back to basics, or try something new are also welcome to attend.
CONTEMP
ADULTS
Our adult Contemporary classes explore movement beyond traditional dance steps, combining fluidity, dynamics, musicality and creative expression. Drawing on a range of contemporary movement techniques, classes encourage dancers to experiment with different movement qualities, explore their physicality and connect movement with music.
You'll develop strength, coordination, body awareness and control while learning expressive choreography that incorporates flowing sequences, dynamic transitions and changes in movement quality. It's a great way to challenge yourself, explore new ways of moving and develop your confidence as a dancer.
Open Contemporary is best suited to dancers with some previous dance experience who are ready to explore more challenging choreography and movement.
Easier Contemporary is perfect for beginners, those returning to dance or anyone wanting a little more guidance. With a more accessible approach to learning movement and choreography, it's a welcoming way to try Contemporary, build your skills and gain confidence at your own pace.
No matter your experience, our Contemporary classes are an opportunity to move, explore and enjoy dance in a supportive studio environment.
Lyrical Our adult Lyrical classes blend the technical foundations of dance with musical interpretation and storytelling. Often drawing on elements of ballet, jazz and contemporary dance, lyrical focuses on expressing the emotion and meaning of a piece of music through movement.
Classes explore fluid transitions, expressive gestures, controlled extensions and flowing choreography, with an emphasis on musicality, performance quality and connecting movement to the lyrics, melody and feeling of a song. You'll develop your technique while learning to communicate a story or emotion through your dancing.
What's the difference between Lyrical and Contemporary?
While the two styles can overlap, Lyrical typically places greater emphasis on interpreting music and lyrics through expressive, emotionally driven choreography. Contemporary focuses more broadly on movement exploration, dynamics, physicality and creative interpretation, and may use music without lyrics or explore movement that isn't tied to a specific story.
